Lucinda Hayden, M.A. is a Transformation Coach, internationally recognized teacher, widely published writer and frequently quoted expert, with over 40 years in private practice.

She helps you create sustainable change by guiding you to listen to your inner experience, allowing clarity to emerge.

 

Her work is grounded in Focusing, a therapeutic, mindfulness-based process, and informed by a broad range of mind-body approaches. ​

  • Private Practice: 40+ years as a Transformation Coach

  • The Sensitive Adventurer (2021–current): Founder and creator of The Sensitive Adventurer

  • Focusing Resources (2006–2021): Senior teacher; first faculty member invited by Ann Weiser Cornell to teach at Focusing Resources

  • Mayo Clinic: Created and delivered a Focusing-based program for medical students

  • International Trainings: Delivered workshops and presentations in Argentina, Uruguay, Mexico, England, Switzerland, and the Netherlands

  • Presence in Motion (2013–2019): Created and led a three-day experiential workshop using Argentine tango to teach and embody Focusing principles.

  • LighterYOU (1995–2008): Created and delivered a Transformational Wellness Program integrating mindset training, nutrition, yoga, Pilates, fitness, clinical hypnotherapy, and in 1998 incorporated Focusing

    • Helped clients create lasting changes in health, fitness, and overall well-being

    • Certified yoga instructor, Pilates instructor, Personal Fitness Trainer and Nutrition Coach

  • INNER GOLF (1990–2006):
    Created and delivered a Transformational Coaching Program for the mental game of golf combining mindset training, visualization, clinical hypnotherapy, and in 1998 incorporated Focusing

    • Worked with players at all levels to lower handicaps and win tournaments

    • Collaborated with staff at leading golf courses, including Pebble Beach and Spyglass Hill

    • Received significant media coverage

  • Clinical Hypnotherapist (1986–2006) Maintained a general private practice working on a wide range of issues

  • English Teacher (1980-1988) Taught writing at San Francisco State University and English as a second language at various community colleges
